BYSO AUDITIONS FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON

Thank you for your interest in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras! Please read below carefully for information about the 2024-25 BYSO audition process.

STRINGS

Though the deadline for the preliminary audition video passed on March 31, we are accepting applications on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire by emailing us at byso@bu.edu.

WOODWINDS, BRASS, PERCUSSION, PIANO, and HARP

No preliminary audition video is required. Following the submission of the application and application fee, students will receive an audition scheduling email. Audition slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are encouraged to apply early as audition slots will fill up.

Timeline

• Late-February: web application open via BYSO website
• Live auditions will take place May 20-28
