Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) for the 2024-25 season!  Prior to applying, we recommend you read BYSO’s updated information about the audition process here.

Please use this portal to submit your application and application fee, upload your preliminary audition video (new string players only) or schedule a live audition, communicate about your audition, and more.

Step 1 - Complete Your Application
To start your application, please select your instrument in the program field from the menu on the left. You will then sign up for an account on Acceptd. Note: If you are registering a student under age 16 or are registering multiple children, you will be required to create a parent account before creating your applicant’s account.

You will be prompted to submit the $55 application fee upon completion of the application.

Step 2 – Strings
Though the deadline for the preliminary audition video passed on March 31, we are accepting applications on a case-by-case basis. Please inquire by emailing us at byso@bu.edu.

Step 2 - Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Piano, and Harp
Following the submission of the application and application fee, students will automatically receive a link to schedule their live audition. You will not be able to schedule a live audition until after your application and application fee have been submitted. Students are encouraged to schedule the live audition as soon as possible after receiving the link, as audition slots will fill up quickly.
