About

Young People’s String Orchestra (YPSO) is regarded as one of the finest young children’s orchestras in the New England area. This orchestra performs major repertoire from the standard string orchestra literature while learning the skills needed for excellent orchestral playing.

BSO Family Concerts

For 10+ years, YPSO has performed at Symphony Hall as part of the BYSO’s collaboration with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Leadership Development

Collaboration and teamwork is emphasized through an energetic and hard working ensemble.

Notable Performances

YPSO has performed at Symphony Hall, Boston University’s Tsai Performance Center, Kresge Auditorium at MIT, and as part of WGBH Classical Cartoon Festival.
