Another summer has come and gone and we are on the verge of one of BYSO's most exciting seasons yet! The year got off to a tremendous start with summer camp and retreats for all six of our orchestras for the first time ever. We also welcomed even more children from our community to the BYSO Youth Center for Music with expanded public programming. Read on to learn more about what makes these experiences so rewarding!

BYSO's 3 advanced orchestras–Boston Youth Symphony, Repertory Orchestra, and Junior Repertory Orchestra–travelled to Sydney, Maine for intensive preparation for the new season at New England Music Camp. Outside of rehearsal, students take advantage of a multitude of activities and create joyful lifelong memories.
After several years at the Noble and Greenough School, our Intensive Community Program students gathered at YCM for the first time for their annual summer camp, building upon their musical knowledge and strengthening their community bonds. The BYSO Youth Center for Music continues to be a home for our remarkable ICP families.
.
Our 3 youngest orchestras–Petit Ensemble, Young People's String Orchestra, and Preparatory Winds–gathered at YCM as well, laying the groundwork for a successful year for many of our new students. We are thrilled to offer summer programming for all of our orchestras so everyone can enjoy this important bonding experience.
.
This summer we expanded our public programming with 2 Dalcroze sessions and an additional week of ChamberFest, welcoming an ever-growing community to experience BYSO's extraordinary classical music curriculum. We'll be adding to these offerings in the future, and hope your family will be able to join us!
