• Serve over 450 young musicians from 126 communities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island,  New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine

•Present a full concert series featuring Stravinsky's Rite of Spring and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5  

Reach 10,000 audience members by presenting nine concerts in world-class venues such as Symphony Hall and Sanders Theatre at Harvard University, as well as many other venues in Boston and Eastern Massachusetts

• Provide inner-city Boston youth with the opportunity to study classical music and gain membership into the BYSO

• Provide financial assistance to deserving musicians who could not otherwise participate in the BYSO

Over the course of its history, the BYSO has made significant contributions to its community and the field of classical music, including:

• Serving over 3,000 young musicians from throughout New England

• Presenting nearly 600 concerts to 250,000 audience members in venues throughout North America, Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East

Many alumni have gone on to occupy seats in the country’s top professional orchestras, including eight in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our alumni pursue careers in medicine, law and many other professions and credit the BYSO for their personal development and current success.

The BYSO will offer sponsorships for its Symphony Hall concerts if a 51st Season sponsor is not secured.  The concert sponsorships will be exclusive.

10th Anniversary Intensive Community Program Sponsorships

This season marks the 10th Anniversary of the Intensive Community Program (ICP). For ten seasons, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) has committed to diversifying the future of classical music by providing the opportunity of high quality music training to underserved populations in inner-city Boston. Recognized as a national model for music education diversity, ICP brings fine musical training to students who might not otherwise have access to it, enabling them to pass auditions to enter one of the BYSO’s four orchestras. Ten years ago the BYSO orchestras demonstrated 1% diversity, and ten years later we proudly report 20% diversity among our nearly 450 musicians.

For this milestone year, we proudly offer four levels of partnership/sponsorship for the Intensive Community Program.
