Audition Standard Repertoire
The links below provide lists of standard solo repertoire that exemplify the level of difficulty typical for players within each BYSO orchestra. In some instances, the same piece may be listed for more than one orchestra. The BYSO audition adjudicators assess each candidate's technical and musical command of a solo piece as well as the difficulty of the work selected.
Please note these examples are simply GUIDELINES, and should not be considered required repertoire. Each candidate should consult with his or her private instructor to select music he or she enjoys, and which emphasizes his or her technical and musical strengths.
