Attention Alumni Runners!
We are excited that the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) has invited BYSO to participate in their Annual Tanglewood Relay Race! Each year members of the BSO gather teams of runners to run over 130 miles, from Symphony Hall all the way to Tanglewood in Stockbridge, MA, to raise money for the BSO youth programs.
This year we are thrilled to be joining the race, and we need YOU to run in our BYSO relay team!
What you need to know:
• Race dates: June 27-29, 2014 (tentatively), rain or shine.
• Runners will commit to running three 5-mile legs of the relay, with support vehicles following closely behind, and scheduled checkpoints along the way.
• Runners will commit to raising funds for their team through family, friends, co-workers and other networks.
Are you interested? Contact Lesley Hinger at email@example.com by March 15, 2014.
Event Committee Volunteers: As we gear up for our third Annual Spring Gala, we are looking for volunteers to help plan and execute successful events auctions and ticket sale strategies. If you are available (in person or by phone) for monthly Friday lunch meetings, and are interested in joining a team of motivated young professionals who help secure auction items, particpate in PR brainstorming sessions and of course, join us on MAY 12, 2014 at the MFA, then let us know! E-mail us firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested! Day-of event volunteers will also be needed on May 12th. If you aren't able to commit to joining the committee, but would like to help us on the 12th, let us know!
BYSO Council: In 2012, the BYSO incorporated the BYSO Council, a group a volunteers dedicated to supporting the organization and the Board of Directors in achieving certain long-term strategies to help move the organization forward. For more information about becoming a member of the BYSO Council, please contact Martha Robinson at email@example.com.
