Great Moments in BYSO History
The following online exhibitions showcase significant moments in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) history and celebrate our alumni's collective legacy.  It should be noted that the BYSO, formally known as the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, changed its name in March 2007.

If you were a participant in any of these events, please sign our Guest Book and share your memories with the BYSO community. If you have ideas for future exhibitions, please share them with us.

A Week in April 1962

On April 16, 1962 GBYSO performed at the White House by invitation of President and Mrs. Kennedy. Three days later, the orchestra performed in Carnegie Hall, the second time in the organization's history.

Accomplishing Almost the Impossible

In the summer of 1970, GBYSO participated in the 10th Israel Music Festival.
