Do you want to become a part of the future of classical music?  If so, the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO) is a great place for you!

Every Sunday afternoon, Boston University's College of Fine Arts (CFA) becomes a hub of BYSO activity.  Walking through the CFA lobby, one is immediately struck by the camaraderie and positive energy exuded by BYSO musicians and families.  Here you can find everything from a parent-operated snack table, selling a variety of homemade snacks (and pizza, of course), to BYSO musicians greeting their friends to conductors, coaches and staff chatting with kids and parents.

Stepping into one of the rehearsal rooms, one is struck by the focus, intensity and respect each orchestra displays while preparing a vast array of repertoire.  BYSO musicians work diligently and thoroughly, drawing upon their support and admiration for each other to create a complete musical experience.  The results are tremendous and energetic performances for which all of our musicians are proud.  These are memories which last a lifetime.

The BYSO is a unique and special place, maintaining a standard of artistic excellence within a positive and nurturing environment.  Our young musicians are the soul of our institution and we continually welcome new families to our program.  Please visit the following links to learn more about how you can join the BYSO community.
