Adrian Slywotzky
Conductor, Junior Repertory Orchestra

Adrian Slywotzky is proud to be an alumnus of BYSO, having played in the orchestra from 1993 to 1998.  He lives in New Haven, CT, where he is studying conducting with Shinik Hahm under a fellowship from the Yale School of Music.  Adrian conducts the New Haven Chamber Orchestra and the Yale Medical Symphony Orchestra, and is also serving as interim conductor of the Greater New Haven Youth Orchestra for 2009-10.  He was Director of Instrumental Music at Hopkins School from 2004 to 2009, and has served on the faculty of Elm City ChamberFest since its inception in 2005.  He holds a B.A. in Architecture and M.M. in Violin Performance from Yale University.  While an undergraduate, Adrian directed the Jonathan Edwards Chamber Players and the Berkeley College Orchestra.  As a violinist, he has participated in festivals including Tanglewood Music Center, California Summer Music, and the Norfolk Contemporary Music Workshop.
