In 2007 BYSO Music Director, Federico Cortese, traveled with 10 students from the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras for a life-changing cultural exchange with a group of students from Laikipia, Kenya, whose tribal elders have passed down the tradition of singing, dancing, and playing music for centuries.

THE MUSIC LESSON, a documentary chronicling this experience will be screened at its Boston premiere on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the AMC Loew's Boston Common Theatre.
