Allison Cooley, Director of Development
Ms. Cooley joined the staff of BYSO as the Manager of Annual Fund and Alumni Relations in 2004 and was promoted to the Director of Development in 2005. Ms. Cooley received her Bachelor of Arts in music education from Ithaca College. Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Cooley worked as an educational coordinator for a folk music and dance series at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History. At the American Museum of Natoral History and the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Ms. Cooley worked in capital and operational planning, and the development and communication departments. In 2004, Ms. Cooley completed her graduate studies in arts administration at Teachers Colege/Columbia University. While at graduate school, Ms. Cooley interned at Jazz at Lincoln Center, working on the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition, and also worked at Connecticut Grand Opera and Orchestra in its development office.
