The Boston Youth Symphony (BYS), conducted by Music Director Federico Cortese, is BYSO’s premier orchestra. These talented students perform at a highly advanced technical level. In the 2012–2013 season, BYSO will present Verdi’s Rigoletto, making this its sixth consecutive semi-staged opera performance: a tradition no other youth orchestra in the country has achieved.
