BYSO 20^th  INTERNATIONAL TOUR

The Boston Youth Symphony (BYS), BYSO's premier ensemble, departured for England for its 20th International Tour at the end of June 2010.

During the Tour BYS performed at the Chichester Festival and at the Oxford Town Hall. Our musicians also had the unique opportunity to rehearse and perform excerpts from Wagner's Tristan und Isolde in a special lecture-demonstration in collaboration with the Wagner Society of London. The lecture took place at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Centre. Soloists Elaine McKrill and John Upperton have been featured during the event. David Edwards provided a linking narration and comments about Wagner and the piece itself.
