I'm still playing a bit with a pick up string quartet of sorts, and I hang out with fellow alums Rose Grabowski, Toby Romano, and Nich Finch from time to time. Living in Boston, working, and wishing the real world was as cool as Sundays in high school. thomc@alum.mit.edu
Alexandra Sasha Csatari, Violin
I am happily living in Washington, DC working in healthcare and continuing to play the violin as a member of the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra.
Nicholas Finch, Cello
Bianca Garcia, Flute
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I really enjoyed playing at numerous venues for a variety of events - it made the whole experience a lot more interesting. I must say that I immensely enjoyed having Symphony Hall be our base and getting to know the place so well it felt like home. I left GBYSO when I got into the Curtis Institute of Music. I am currently in my second year and loving it! So, I'm obviously continuing my musical path in life and we'll see where it leads... Ciao, Bianca

Currently, I am in the midst of completing my master's thesis at Boston University for an MA in Music Theory. While I am no longer taking coursework, I am teaching a theory course for non-music majors at the school, a position which I thoroughly enjoy. As for my weekend activities, I am still doing GBYSO-now, however, I am on the artistic end of things, which has been a nice change. For a few years, I was simply helping out at camp with, well, the grunt work. Now-brace yourselves-they let me conduct JRO sectionals for the winds, brass, and percussion. Afterwards, I coach a JRO chamber group and teach an Ear Training/Theory class. So needless to say, GBYSO still claims most of my Sunday hours (and this is a very good thing). As for things in general, life is good. I'm pursuing what I love and am surrounded by people who love music-anyone who can say this is living a life of luxury. Moreover, I am not starving-yet. Best wishes to all.

After graduating from Oberlin Conservatory with a degree in Music History and Ethnomusicology, I moved to Nashville. I am now working for a "new model" music marketing/distribution/management company (Thirty Tigers) and playing fiddle and kora any chance I get.
