Rebecca Friedman, Viola Phoenix, Arizona After one final musical tour to Trinidad and Tobago with the Smith College Orchestra, I graduated with a BA in Spanish in 2004. I moved to Phoenix where I teach middle school Spanish at Phoenix Country Day School.
Juliet Grabowski, Clarinet Rochester, New York I finished my degree in clarinet performance at the Eastman School of Music. I also completed a special self-designed program in Economics and Public Policy and earned certificates in Management Studies with a concentration in Marketing, World Music and Arts Leadership. I work full-time in Eastman's Communications office. I am active an musician, performing contemporary-classical and world music.

Efan Hsieh, Violin I graduated with a BS in Environmental Science from UMass Amherst in'04. I was a member of the UMass Symphony Orchestra and the Commonwealth College Quartet. After college I explored many delightful adventures and misadventures, including whale behavior research and a year on an organic farm, and made a few strange avant-garde jazz recordings with other musicians. Now I teach wilderness skills to kids and adults, and consult on designing/implementing agriculturally productive landscapes. I enjoy playing New England contra dance music, am adding to my repertoire of folk rounds from around the world sung by large groups of people, love contact improvisation dance, and am learning salsa dancing.

Michelle Levy, Viola Providence, Rhode Island I'll be graduating with a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design in June 2004 and plan to pursue a masters in art/music therapy. In addition to my studies in art, I've spent the past couple years performing old-timey/celtic/improvisational fiddle in a band called The Wheel, and I recently took up the banjo as well. I also perform (music and giant theatrical puppetry) with Big Nazo Puppets, and occasionally compose/perform music for local independent films.

I am maintaining my New York residence for the time being, since my Paris appointment is part-time.
Christine Livingston, Viola I am currently living in Farmington, CT where I attend graduate school at UConn Health Center. My thesis work is concerned with how herpes simplex virus type I interacts with the host cell during infection.
