Matt Curtis, Trumpet
Boston, Massachusetts
I attended Eastman School of Music for two years, then transferred to Northeastern University (BS Biology, 1999). After working as a firefighter and a bus driver/mechanic in Colorado, and an ambulance driver/hospital orderly in Yellowstone, I ended up working in medical research. Currently I am a Regulatory Associate at Alkermes, Inc. I freelance on occasion, when time permits, and since 1995 I have been playing trumpet with the Lexington Sinfonietta.
Andrew Hitz, Tuba
Anne McKay-Fensie, Trombone
Brent Ranalli, Flute
Acton, Massachusetts
I'm working as a consultant at The Cadmus Group in support of EPA's drinking water regulatory program, and helping some Harvard and BU professors put together an anthology of environmental writings. I'm married and living in Acton, Mass. I've don't pick up the flute very often these days, but we sing in a choir in Lexington and I do some occasional composing.
Josh Sherman, Trumpet
Joanna Veltri, French Horn
Amanda Wellum, Flute
James Howard Young, Clarinet
After three amazing GBYSO years, I got a bachelors degree in clarinet at Peabody and a masters degree in historical performance-early woodwinds at NEC. I continued early music studies in Denmark as a fellow of the American-Scandinavian Foundation, and after three years I was granted a performance diploma. In the fall of 2007, I was appointed to the position of head accompanist with the Royal Danish Theater. I am married with three cats, and can sometimes be found lurking online at Jnote.org.
