I went to Northwestern University where I received a Bachelor's of Music in clarinet performance. After that, I moved to Atlanta where in the past 8 years I have done some performing and some teaching. However, in 1996 I married my husband and as of now we have 3 children: Jonathan, 6; Christopher, 3; and Sarah, 1 1/2. Although I still do some occasional performing and teaching, my time is mostly spent as a wife and mother.

I am currently working as the Vice President of Educational Research at TestU in New York City. I have been with the company since its founding, three years ago. TestU provides online test preparation courses for the SAT and the like. I am also near to completing a Ph.D. at Columbia University in Educational Policy. This July I will be getting married to Matthew Engelbert.

Currently, I am a member of the United States Navy Band in Washington, DC. I received a Bachelor's degree in 1994 from Eastman and a Master's from Florida State in 1997. Before joining the Navy Band I toured extensively with Epic Brass and freelanced in Boston. Deanna and I were married in 1995 and we have a beautiful little girl named Sophia born in January 2003.
