A message from our Music Director, Federico Cortese:
"Dear BYSO Families, Friends and Supporters:
I am extremely proud to announce our new partnership with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO), which will offer to our students and to our entire organization extraordinary opportunities together with new musical experiences and aspirations. As you can see in the link below, the BSO formally announced our new ties.
This partnership is the recognition of years of institutional growth and extraordinary musical accomplishments. It is very special to be invited by one of the greatest symphony orchestras on the international scene to join forces in the common effort to serve classical music in the greater Boston area. This is a testament of the successes of our organization and it is the recognition of the uniquely high musical standards we have achieved in all these years.
On, Saturday, September 22nd, 2012, BSO Chairman Ted Kelly formally announced the partnership during the Opening Night events at Symphony Hall. It has been be a privilege for us to be part of this celebration with some of our top cellists performing together with BSO musicians.
I hope you will all welcome this thrilling news with the same excitement that I feel in announcing it."
