1976 Mihran Aroian, Violin Austin, Texas I live in Austin, Texas and am the principal violinist with the Allandale String Quartet. I am married (to a flutist) and together we have two teenage girls (pianists). Professionally, I'm an entrepreneur having started a financial services software company and a high-tech consulting firm. I'm currently in the midst of starting my third company that will track musical instruments in the event that they are stolen.
Joan Ellersick, Viola Alumni Advisor Southborough, Massachusetts I am freelancing and teaching in the Boston area. BYSO is still part of my life as I coach viola sectionals and do some substitute teaching for the Intensive Community Program (ICP) lessons. I also coach chamber music and give lessons at the Community Music Center of Boston and St. Mark's School.
Jeffrey H. Hale, Violin
Teresa (Phillips) Katuska, Trombone Southborough, Massachusetts I went on to play trombone and study math at Yale, where I met my husband in the trombone section of the band. We now have six children (several of whom also play the trombone). Most Friday nights a motley collection of trombone players gather at our house to make music until our lips give out (or the police show up). We occasionally perform in public as the "Gazebones".

Philip Marshall, Violin Newburyport, Massachusetts After Bates College, where I majored in German and music, I began a career in the magazine publishing business, at first with Horticulture Magazine, in ad sales. I switched gears about two years ago to become a Senior Product Manager at Sun Microsystems (Burlington campus). My wife, Pamela, and I have a 2 year-old and a newborn, live in Newburyport. GBYSO was certainly the highlight of my high school years.
