2008 International Tour
The 120-members of the Boston Youth Symphony (BYS), the premier orchestra of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras (BYSO), traveled to Germany and the Czech Republic in June-July 2008 to perform five nearly sold-out concerts, including a performance at the esteemed Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Germany.
The Leipzig newspaper,
Leipziger Volkseitung, reviewed the concert and said: "Sensational . . . polished string sound, lightening brass, refined woodwinds, and a homogenity of sound mixed with microscopically preicse levels of dynamics. An American dream touring Europe . . . the Great, Greatest, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras!"
