Emily Wilson, Operations and ICP Coordinator
Emily Wilson joined the BYSO in November 2009 as the Operations and Intensive Community Program Coordinator. A flutist, Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. During her undergraduate studies, Emily had the opportunity to study music abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland and to participate in the contemporary music festival SoundSCAPE in Pavia, Italy (formerly the Cortona Contemporary Music Festival).
Emily graduated from The Boston Conservatory in May 2009 with her Master of Music degree in Flute Performance. While in the Boston area, Emily worked for the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Tanglewood Music Center (TMC) as the Scheduling and Programs Assistant in Lenox, Massachusetts. She also served as the TMC Administrative Assistant at Symphony Hall in Boston. During her time with the TMC, Emily worked with Boston Symphony Orchestra staff members, musicians, and other guest artists assisting with all aspects of the application and audition process, maintaining the summer program schedule, and creating TMC concert programs.
Emily is thrilled to be a part of an organization training gifted and inspiring young musicians.
